We celebrated my son's 24th year birthday here. The food is great and the highlight of our experience was ... the server did a tremendous job! He surprised us with a piece of Tiramisu cake for my son's birthday! We all sang a birthday song along with a few staff from Trastevere! We will definitely come back again here on our next vacation trip!

David was an amazing server and because of his dedication to keep us happy, we will be coming back!!!

The waiters are great, we got seated quickly in the patio, our orders delivered correctly, and even checked on us how we're enjoying the food.They have a good selection of Italian food, and drinks. You may want to ask the waiter about the menu if you want more details about its preparation or give you a visualization in case you're not familiar with a menu item.The steak we ordered was okay but the minestrone we got is bland and watery. We didnt bother getting it changed since it's a small item anyway.The bathroom is inconvenient to go to, requiring you to go downstairs and turn to a short corridor. The restaurant's interior is also simple yet unappealing.

Visited this location in early July this year while on a short vacation, the ambience was very nice but the food was just okay. For the price we probably would have found another restaurant with higher quality dishes. I asked our waiter for a suggestion, and he suggested the ravioli which as you can see from the picture wasn't very aesthetically pleasing.

We were seated and it took 15 minutes just to get some water. Our waiter came over and never even introduced himself. Took half of our order then walked away before I could even order my drink. The guy pouring water finally came over and I asked if I could order a glass of wine and he said the waiter will take the order. Waiter FINALLY came back to take my drink order. Went to the bathroom and as you can see, it was filthy. For the price, we deserved better service and a clean restaurant. Would not recommend.

Very regular Italian restaurant. Inoffensive to tourists. It isn't amazing, but not bad. All the food tasted fine, nothing was woah. It looks like they have house made pastas which is cool. I didn't get a chance to try any of those.

My family always chooses to come here before seeing a show at pantages theater and it's never busy at all. The food is decent enough but the stand out of the menu is the tiramisu martini.

The food was served quickly, hot and utterly delicious. I kept it simple with spaghetti & meatballs while the others had chicken alfredo ... Everyone enjoyed #EVERYTHING

The best of italian food in Hollywood

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in CA , it's so cute, nested in the corner.Definitely need to try Beef carpaccio!!! It's so fresh and delicious!!

Excellent, authentic Italian food! The lasagna was superb... excellent asparagus... fabulous lava cake! And they threw in a 7.1 earthquake to make it truly memorable!🤣 I highly recommend Trastevere.

The pepperoni and basil pizza was delicious, the crust was perfect. The pesto sauce for breadsticks was flavorful. The calamari was cooked perfectly and the view from top floor is amazing. Great place for lunch after viewing the Hollywood Sign.

Great homemade pasta. Good wine list. Great service. Would recommend eating here and will be back!

Watch out with credit card payments. They wanted extra tip after card payment and i left them 5 dollars of tip in cash . our dinner made around 35 dollars plus the tip in cash. staff said it's all ok and we left.. 3 days later they had charged another amount of our credit card just like they wanted, without any permission of using the credit card. They already had their tip and they just took more.. do not give them your cards!!!!! Bad service

Just had an AMAZING dinner at this restaurant! The atmosphere was great and Louis was EXCEPTIONAL! He made our first visit here a one of a kind experience! We are visiting LA from Texas to see our daughter perform at The Dolby in Escape to Margaritaville and stopped in for a nice dinner beforehand. It was my husbands birthday and not only did he make us feel extra special but he also gave him a free dessert and cappuccino! He was such a delight to visit with! The food was OUTSTANDING! My husband got the Carbonara and I got the Margarite Pizza and it was to “die for”! Highly recommend!!!!

Foods good enough. Had Italian in many countries. Is not all that though. But the calimari is very good. Interesting service charge by David T. Paid by credit card. I gave a $9 tip, he took a $19.94 tip from my card. I signed for a total of $130, but $141was taken. Now that's theft. Watch out people if you use this place.

We had calamari and shrimp but had no taste and chewy like gum. My friend had shrimp with pasta lemon there was barely any sauce and dry. I had lasagne which was fair only sauce was on the top which needed to be in each layer. Service however was good. I'm giving the 2 stars for the service and lasagne.

Good food, service can be slow, high prices

I would not waste my time at this restaurant. The service was poor, we had to hunt our guy down for water refills and seemed disinterested in waiting on our table. The food was not good either. I got soup which was awful and very bland. He never asked us how we were doing or if our food was good.

Delightful! Lovely service, varied menu, very interesting and delicious specialty cocktails. Great location - so much to do and see at Hollywood & Highland. Determined to get to this place more often. Great people watching too!!

Our waiter Alessandro was awesome! Very friendly, entertaining and helpful.The portions of food were plentiful and not ridiculous. I would go for a lighter appetizer if you’re getting anything from the pasta menu.Food tasted great and the atmosphere was pleasant.Really convenient if you’re touring around the walk of fame.

This is a place that looks like they would place really good bread on the tables but there is no bread to be had. That pretty much sums up our experience. Service and food weren't exactly stellar but they weren't bad either. Prices were a bit high, though they were as expected given the high tourist area.

Food was great and service was great. No AC which made the visit incredibly uncomfortable. We might as well have been outside in the heat. If you can take the Heat it's definitely worth going here to eat.

Food was good at this restaurant. We had ordered two pasta dishes. The service on the other hand was horrible. The host and waiter was very rude. He did not refill our water. He basically did not return to the table except once to fill water and give us our bill. The food was brought out by another waiter. This was during a time when there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. I would never go back here.

The food was ok. For being a restaurant in the heart of Hollywood I expected a more premium experience, but I could have gone to an Olive Garden and it would have felt the same.

If this place aspires to be average it is nearly there. The staff are friendly and the service is ok, however the food is simply not that good and certainly not value for money. We had 4 mains, the calzone was good, spaghetti and meat balls whilst large lacked quality in the meats balls, ravioli was OK and chicken dish poor. Wine was excellent but pricey. For the quality of food the meal was seriously overpriced, the crepe place opposite was far nicer and less than half the price.

We had a couple pies and a calzone. So we can not comment on their Italian dishes and pastas. We selected the cheese with pepperoni pie and a vegetarian pie. They were just okay and not unique. The calzone did not have enough filling and the dough was not my style, just too doughy. The service was good and friendly.

Really great service and good food! Had one of their dried pasta dishes and it was the best I’ve ever had! The waiters were very polite and made sure our waters were never more than half empty, offering extra bread, etc. Overall, the price is worth the good food and service.

The food was good. The prices were OK. The service was great. The person who was helping us even brought out a bowl of water for our dock. If you are in the middle of Hollywood, I would recommend it considering your options.

Solid Italian cuisine! When you come to Hollywood, you don't come expecting to find actual quality food. But that's exactly what you find here at Trastevere. Having been to Italy and had authentic Italian pasta several times, I can attest to the fact that the Italian cuisine here is very fine quality and done the true Italian way. You can also tell it's authenticity by the fact that it's Italians running the place. I was so excited to have delicious bread with olive oil again while here! I only give three stars, however, because the staff here is not very attentive. Slowest and most unhelpful server I have almost ever experienced. Took forever just to get water, never got refills unless I flagged someone down (that wasn't even the waiter) to get some, and took forever to get the food ordered and then to pay. Disappointed that the service did not match the quality of the food.
